Liam "LJ" Jumpertz returns to Melbourne International Comedy Festival with MagicSafe: Conjuror VS Corporate, a high-chaos, high-laugh magic seminar where workplace safety meets wand safety… and neither survive intact.

Fresh off winning the Magician’s Choice Award two years running (2024 & 2025), LJ steps back into the role of your overworked, under-supported MagicSafe trainer. Tasked with enforcing the government’s brand-new WorkSafe x MagicSafe “Performing: The MagicSafe Way”. Think hi-vis vests for doves, PPE for rabbits, a Safe Work Method Statement for every spell and a daily wand inspection no one asked for.

But LJ’s biggest hazard isn’t pyrotechnics or unstable magical props.

It’s Todd from Corporate.

Todd is your classic clipboard-wielding, credit-stealing workplace villain – he's been sent from head office to “monitor the seminar”, but really he’s just there to make LJ’s life miserable. With constant interruptions, contradictory rules and surprise “policy updates”, Todd is determined to sabotage LJ’s session and prove that magic should be left to “qualified corporate professionals”.

As LJ desperately tries to keep the seminar on track, the magic spirals into chaos:
